DESCRIPTION

Rather than formal assessments, the nursery teacher holds ‘one-to-ones’ with nursery pupils in order to ascertain their language level and write reports for their parents.

Video Transcript

The nursery teacher, she said to me that there’s no way for them to set a formal assessment, so she’s going to do some one-to-one assessments. She wants to talk to them [the pupils], see how many words they picked-up this term and if they can recite songs and some poems that they learned last term. And then she can put her assessment on paper for the parents – like a report.
