DESCRIPTION

Pupils learn new vocabulary through a story.

Video Transcript

The teacher draws a picture on the whiteboard and, speaking in Arabic, encourages the pupils to name the various components of the drawing in Arabic, utilising the vocabulary from a story that they are all familiar with.

I was giving them a new vocabulary – I gave it to them through a story. I gave them a story, they understand the story in their minds and so it will be easier for them to catch the new words. If I gave them [the new words] without this story, it will be a little bit difficult for them to memorise the new words.

The teacher continues with the exercise.
