About our partnership
The partnership between Harehills Primary School and the Muslim Society of Leeds has used the Our Languages project as an opportunity to focus on ethnic minority children from the local community and schools within the community. The partnership runs both Urdu and Arabic classes which are attended by approximately 20 children of various ages and ability. By using the children’s own mother tongue to communicate, the partnership has been able to raise educational achievement and all round standards of education. Indeed, the school has seen a marked improvement in results.
