About our school
Watford Boys Grammar school recently celebrated its Tercentenary. It serves an ethnically diverse community of students, from a wide range of backgrounds. It consistently achieves high academic standards, as well as many successes in creative and pastoral areas.
About our partnership
Watford Grammar School for Boys (WGSB) has been working with Watford Hindu Group Gujarati School (WHGGS), a local complementary school that specializes in Gujarati. In addition to providing shared use of the school’s facilities on Saturday mornings, WGSB has also seconded staff to WHGGS to assist with planning and the delivery of the curriculum. In exchange, pupils from WGSB have been given the opportunity to attend WHGGS and take advantage of their specialist language expertise – such as those gained through courses with CILT and planning meetings with specialist language teachers. Some WGSB pupils have commented on how they are being more academically stretched as a result of this experience.
