About our school

Somali Community and Cultural School opened their first Somali language classes at Kings Edward VII upper school in April 2007. It also teaches cultural value and helps pupils grow into responsible citizens. Their strength is the commitment from the community as a whole and parents in particular and the provision and delivery of high quality language lessons.

About our partnership

The Somali Community and Cultural School is part of the Our Languages project Accreditation cluster and is linked with Springfield Primary School. A meeting schedule was drawn up 2008/2009 regarding lesson planning, asset training and events planning.
