About our school

The school serves the Polish Community in and around Peterborough. Students come from over twenty miles away to enjoy the Polish Saturday School in Stanground where there are seventy students attending the school regularly and there is a waiting list of students who wish to come to the school. In addition to language learning they encourage the study of history, art and wider aspects of Polish culture. Drama and music productions often take place at the school.

About our partnership

The Polish Saturday School has formed a partnership under the Our Languages project with The Voyager School in Walton, Peterborough. The school got involved with the project through the work of the School Development Support Agency (SDSA). Working with the Voyager School has been a really positive experience and has given a real insight into the complimentary school sector. It has also enabled the Voyager School to realise how many exciting possibilities are potentially available to it. In particular, the Polish Saturday School is excited about the Quality Framework which will give it recognition for the great work that it does.

It was a great experience for us to go to The Voyager School and see how they use learning technologies to enhance the learning process. We hope one day to be able to use these resources to enhance the already good learning environment in our own complementary school.
