About our school
Campion School has been a Language College since 1998. The curricular languages are
French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese as well as offering a variety of accreditation schemes such as ASSET, Applied French, GCSE, AS and A-Level. The school have strong links with the Polish and Greek Community Schools. The new community project involves teaching Polish to the Northamptonshire Police Force so that they may get a better understanding of the Polish Community and improve communication.
The school run language classes in Latin, Italian and Japanese and cultural taster sessions in German, French and Spanish in their freeder Primary Schools. They also offer cultural taster sessions in French, German, Japanese and Spanish to St. Andrews Secure Unit, a Psychiatric Unit in Northampton. Alongside this the school offer Italian, Chinese and Sign Language after school clubs and have joined the Business Language Champion Scheme run by the East Midland Regional Language Network
About our partnership
Campion School has had contact with the Greek school for a number of years. As a language school, one of Campion’s main goals is the continuous provision of language learning in the Sixth form. This means Year 12 students studying a non-curricular foreign language for 20 hours from scratch. Last year the school offered Italian, Welsh, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Sign Language and Polish, with Greek being very popular with the students.
