About our school
Longdendale Community Language College is a mixed 11-16 school situated in a semi-rural area east of Manchester. The school became a Specialist Language College in 2004 and achieved the International School Award in Sepetember 2007. The school currently teaches 6 languages; Spanish, French, German, Italian, Urdu and Russian.
About our partnership
Longdendale Community Language College has teamed up with a supplementary school to jointly create a variety of electronic language learning resources. These electronic resources have effectively been put to use in the college’s Urdu class and are already benefiting learners of all ages. As a result of the Our Languages partnership, students of the college are gaining valuable exposure to native spoken language, as well as wider aspects of the culture.
