About our school
Islamic Education Centre was established in 1981 and is situated in a house that has been converted into a mosque and caters for five daily prayers performed in congregation. An ICT suite is available to the pupils at the centre where they teach Bengali and Islamic and Quranic studies. The centre has received the Gold award certificate for teaching and learning standards.
About our partnership
The Islamic Education Centre is working in partnership with Bordesley Green Girls' School as part of the Our Languages project. The joint aims of the project are to teach Bengali to pupils working towards a recognised certificate, and to encourage a greater level of collaboration between supplementary and mainstream schools.
