About our school
Brigshaw High School is an 11-18 comprehensive school with 1400 students situated to the east of Leeds. A Specialist Language College since 2004, it is also an extended school with very strong links to the eight main feeder primary schools. The school occupies a large, attractive campus between the villages of Kippax and Allerton Bywater. Pupils come from both villages, as well as from Great and Little Preston, Swillington, Micklefield, Methley, Garforth and the outer Leeds suburbs.
About our partnership
Brigshaw High School is working in partnership with Leeds Chinese Community School to develop Asset Language Intermediate Chinese lesson plans. Through the Our Languages partnership, Brigshaw High has been able to offer its extensive experience of using the Asset Language framework across a range of languages including French, German and Spanish. In return, Leeds Chinese Community School has contributed the Chinese language component. The partnership has been of huge mutual benefit.
