Accrediting learning, sharing the load, sharing the success
This event will focus on how to increase the use and uptake of accredited learning by identifying which streams of accreditation are available and how these can best be deployed to suit each organisation. Recognizing that a pupil’s first language is a key component in raising achievement, representatives from complementary schools will also have the opportunity to share cases of good practice around this theme.

Making the most of your assets: Supplementary schools event
The purpose of this event is to strengthen awareness of community languages, raise the level of achievement of pupils using community languages, and foster collaboration between complementary and mainstream schools.

Supporting teaching and learning of Urdu in Madrassas
The aims of this event are to foster collaboration between the complementary and mainstream sector by 1.) Sharing values between our school, the mosque, and the wider community and 2.) Breaking barriers between the mosque and school to raise pupil achievement. Other objectives include providing support for Urdu teaching and opportunities for networking as well as modelling good practice in teaching and learning.
