The Palestinian Cultural Show

Overview:

The Palestinian School, London presents another stunning cultural show for 2009. The show will include Palestinian music and songs by the well known Alashekeen Palestinian Band established in 1977.

Features:

Ghirass Cultural Centre (Hakaya Dabka Group from Bethlehem) the young talented group, who perform the exciting and colourful dabka dance in traditional costume. They have performed internationally (inc France Dance Festival, Norway) and won first prize during Christmas 2000 in a Folklore Day set up in Bethlehem by the Palestinian Minister for Culture.

The Palestinian school in London will be celebrating the launch of its cultural band Zajel. The young dancers will perform customary Palestinian dance in unique traditional dresses. The show will include music and songs presented by a young talented winner of “School Ideal Talent” show for three consecutive years.
