Canning House and the London Borough of Lambeth are celebrating Portuguese achievement by hosting a conference titled O céu é o limite – The sky’s the limit. The conference will highlight good practice from across Lambeth and beyond through a number of Rondavels.

• Primary and secondary school staff.
CONFERENCE AIMS
• To develop the teaching of Portuguese as a modern language
• To share good practice in raising the achievement of Portuguese speaking pupils in the early years, primary and secondary schools
• To provide information about Brazilian educational, social and cultural background and communities across the world
• To develop understanding of pre-school learning experiences of Portuguese speaking children and impact on future achievement
• To develop understanding and knowledge about the Portuguese speaking communities with which we work
• To provide information on school international links with Brazil and Portugal
• To share and provide information on drama, music and cultural activities to raise the achievement and confidence of Portuguese speaking pupils

The conference is free for all primary and secondary school staff and Lambeth local authority representatives. A cost of £50 applies to all external delegates.
